08.04.11 I promised myself I’d stop making excuses for the long breaks between posts and just get on with it & shoot but I always feel a need to explain myself. Things have been a bit nuts these days & sometimes images I really enjoyed shooting gets lost in the mix.

03.24.11 It was an incredible night of music & charity at Honolulu’s Twestival which was held at the Venue on Thurs. night. Big props to Ryan Ozawa for organizing this tremendously successful event. All proceeds benefiting the Blood Bank of Hawaii.

Kaleidoscope pt. III

12.29.09 The last act of the night (and reason I showed in the first place) Kamuela Kahoano was about to take the stage. I’ve been listening to him for years, watched his songs grow into something so powerful I’m floored once those notes pass through my ears. I thought I knew what to expect during his set by now. Words can’t describe the explosive energy that radiated from that room in 39Hotel. But I will try. (more…)

08.09.09 He is the man. If you have a chance to catch this incredible songwriter, don’t even think twice, just go. I met him a few years ago at one of his acoustic solo gigs back at Local Motion in Waikiki. When I’m inspired I won’t hide it, I’ll walk right up and say it.
